BUYING DETAILS / AGREE BEFORE YOU ORDER

Your development brief should include

A useful first inquiry does not need every answer. Start with your application, then agree the remaining details.

01

Define drawing permissions

Identify each drawing, pattern and logo owner; confirm permission to share and use them. Distinguish buyer assets from visual references.

02

Budget revision decisions

Prioritize changes and assign one approver. Agree revision scope and additional development charges before requesting another sample.

03

Lock the commercial scope

Separate supply, development, artwork and packaging responsibilities. Specifications, feasibility, minimum orders, costs, lead times and documentation are confirmed in the quotation, not concept images.

Specification note. A golden sample is an agreed reference, not a guarantee that every woven piece will be identical. Record dimensional and appearance tolerances, finish references and pack versions separately. Exclusivity and IP terms require explicit agreement; neither is implied by private-label development.

DEVELOP THE DETAILS / NOT THE ASSUMPTIONS

Requests to assess together

Bring a clear brand direction, but leave room for construction review. Requests below are discussion topics, not guaranteed options or assurances of OEM capability.

Form and weave references

Share dimensioned drawings and intended function. Discuss whether the proposed shape and weave suit handwoven flat bamboo strips; record limitations.

Finish palette

Provide physical or coded colour references and acceptable variation. Discuss sampling feasibility; photographs alone should not determine final acceptance.

Brand and pack artwork

Provide editable hang-tag, label and packaging files with placement instructions. Confirm feasible application methods, artwork responsibilities, language versions and any associated costs before approval.

Feasibility, minimum orders, costs and timing are confirmed in your quotation.

THE RANGE / A STARTING REFERENCE

Build a brief-led collection

Use linked products as form, weave and application references. Identify retained specifications and requests needing feasibility review. Concept imagery does not establish production capability.

FROM FIRST INQUIRY / TO AN AGREED ORDER

A considered process.
A clearer next step.

  1. 01

    Submit a controlled brief

Email Bamiva at info@bamiva.com with versioned drawings, asset permissions, quantities and requested deliverables. Separate requirements from optional ideas.

  2. 02

    Review feasibility and revisions

Review the proposed specification and quoted development scope. Consolidate sample feedback into one revision list before authorizing further work.

  3. 03

    Approve the golden sample

Agree the reference sample and written tolerances, then sign off finish references, hang tags, labels and packaging artwork against identified versions.

  4. 04

    Confirm the order scope

Match the order to approved references and the final quotation. Resolve quantities, costs, timing, documentation and outstanding responsibilities before commitment.

PURCHASING FAQ / BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Specific questions.
Practical answers.

Use these answers to prepare your first brief. Final specifications and commercial terms belong in the quotation.

info@bamiva.com
01Can we develop homeware from our own drawings?

You can share drawings for review, together with intended use, dimensions and evidence that you have permission to use the design. Bamiva must assess the requested construction and commercial scope before confirming a proposal. Supplying a drawing does not establish feasibility, exclusive rights or a guaranteed OEM service.

02How should we manage sample revisions and golden sample approval?

Nominate one buyer-side approver and send consolidated feedback against a numbered sample or drawing version. Agree which revisions are included and which require a revised quotation. Before order confirmation, identify the golden sample and record measurable acceptance criteria, including dimensions, visible weave variation, finish references and packaging versions.

03Can our finish palette match across the collection?

Provide a palette with physical references where possible, and explain which pieces will be displayed together. Ask for feasibility review and agree how colour and surface appearance will be evaluated during sampling. Handwoven flat bamboo strips can show variation; any acceptable range must be documented rather than assumed from a rendered image.

04What should our label and packaging brief contain?

Include editable artwork, dimensions, placement, language versions and the intended retail presentation. Identify who supplies product statements, warnings and destination-market information for the US, UK or Germany/Europe. Discuss application feasibility and pack construction separately. Do not assume artwork preparation, compliance review or every requested branding method is included in product supply.

05Does private-label development include exclusivity or automatic enquiry submission?

No exclusivity or IP protection is promised by this page; any such terms need explicit discussion and agreement. The enquiry form only prepares an email draft for you to review and send to info@bamiva.com. It does not send or store your brief, and preparing a draft does not submit a lead.
